Youth Football Clinic to Support Make-A-Wish IA Hosted by GBBT & ISU Football

GBBT Hosts Youth Football Clinic w/ ISU Football for Make-A-Wish Iowa
For one summer day, the football field became more than a place to run drills and catch passes—it became a place where a community came together to make a difference.
Green Belt Bank & Trust was proud to host its second annual Iowa State Football Youth Clinic benefitting Make-A-Wish Iowa, welcoming roughly 100 young athletes for an unforgettable day of football, fun, and inspiration. With the help of Iowa State coaches and student athletes, participants sharpened their skills, learned the importance of teamwork, and created memories that will last a lifetime.
But the clinic's greatest impact reaches far beyond the football field.
Every registration, sponsorship, and donation made leading up to and during the event supports the Green Belt Bank & Trust Endowment Fund for Make-A-Wish Iowa in counties where GBB&T has a location. Through this fund, Green Belt Bank & Trust is committed to helping grant wishes for local children living with critical illnesses—bringing hope, strength, and joy to families during some of life's most difficult moments.
"One of the things that makes this event so special is knowing that it benefits something much bigger than football," said Kirk Yung, President & CEO of Green Belt Bank & Trust. "Watching kids learn from incredible role models while also helping create life-changing wishes for other children is what makes this clinic truly meaningful."
Throughout the day, Iowa State players and coaches encouraged participants to work hard, support one another, and have fun. From every pass and drill to every high-five celebration, the athletes showcased the lessons that extend far beyond the game—determination, teamwork, leadership, and respect.
Those same values are at the heart of Green Belt Bank & Trust's commitment to the communities it serves.
As a community bank, Green Belt Bank & Trust believes that giving back is one of the most important investments it can make. Through partnerships like Make-A-Wish Iowa and events like the Iowa State Football Youth Clinic, the bank continues to create opportunities that bring people together while making a lasting difference for children and families across Iowa.
This year's clinic would not have been possible without the incredible support of Iowa State Athletics, Make-A-Wish Iowa, our generous sponsors (listed below), dedicated volunteers, and the many families who participated. Their enthusiasm and generosity continue to make this event one of the highlights of the summer.
As Green Belt Bank & Trust celebrates 40 years of serving our communities this year, we're reminded that our greatest achievements aren't measured only by the services we provide, but by the lives we help impact along the way.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported the clinic, and helped turn a day of football into an opportunity to change lives—one wish at a time.
